Nutrient intravenous therapy refers to the use of vitamins, minerals, and/or botanicals delivered directly into the bloodstream. This is a safe and effective way to achieve therapeutic levels of nutrients. When you take a supplement orally, you only absorb a percentage of the nutrients contained within the capsule. Capsules and tablets are riddled with preservatives and binders that prevent your body from breaking them down completely, thus decreasing the quantity of nutrients available to be absorbed. By delivering the nutrients directly into your bloodstream, and bypassing the digestive tract, you are able to absorb 100% of the nutrients.

This type of treatment is often used in cancer, inflammatory bowel diseases, chronic pain, fatigue, migraines, PMS, athletes, people who do not like taking supplements, among other things! Contact us to learn more.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the oldest continuously practiced medicine in the world, dating back to the First Century BCE. but is now also considered a form of evidence-based medicine. The World Health Organization lists 28 diseases, symptoms or conditions for which acupuncture has been proven, through controlled trials, effective. It also lists another 63 conditions where acupuncture has been shown to be effective, but further study is needed.

TCM's understanding of the body is focused on the functional entities of the body and their ability to work harmoniously when the body is in a balanced and healthy state, or their dysfunction when there are diseases or health conditions. TCM seeks to use presenting signs and symptoms to find the pattern of illness and therefore treat the root cause. This diagnostic method is rooted in TCM's idea that in order to understand a person's health, you must study the functional aspects, rather than the structures themselves. Treatment in TCM most commonly includes acupuncture, where practitioners use thin, sterile disposable needles inserted superficially into specific areas of the body in order to help the body's ability to heal itself. Diet, lifestyle counselling, cupping, exercises (Tai Chi/Qi Gong), needleless acupuncture, and many other auxiliary techniques may also be used.

Lynn has been a practising social worker for 20 years. In 1997, Lynn graduated from Sheridan College with a Social Service Worker – Gerontology diploma. With her diploma in hand, Lynn immediately began working towards her Bachelor of Social Work degree and graduated in 2001 from McMaster University. In 2017, Lynn returned to school part-time, earning her Master of Social Work Degree from Dalhousie University in 2021. Lynn is a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. An unexpected move in 2010 brought my family and I to the City of Peterborough. From the beginning, the people of Peterborough have been good to us. Over time, relationships and roots have strengthened, connecting us even more to this incredible community. Over the past 20 years, I have had the privilege of working with many people and organizations. Each of these opportunities has helped to inform and shape my current practice. I have experience within the field of geriatrics, working closely with both caregivers and people diagnosed with an age-related illness. I also have experience working within mental health, primarily in the areas of anxiety and depression, both in the community and in a hospital setting. In 2018, I began working in the field of palliative care. My work within the palliative care sector continues today. This opportunity has provided me the honour of working closely with people diagnosed with serious, complex illness, their caregivers, and people impacted by grief. In addition to the above, I have experience supporting people as they begin to consider and explore their end of life wishes and advanced care planning. From me, you can expect to be treated with respect and compassion. My approach is trauma informed and emotion focused. I recognize the importance of establishing a safe space to support personal reflection, exploration, and growth. I believe in the practice of self-care and the invaluable act of meeting emotion with a non-judgemental approach. My education, work, and life has taught me that we are shaped by our experiences, relationships, dispositions, and environments. I have received additional training and skill in the areas of system navigation, advocacy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and mindfulness. Lastly, please know that I too practice the skills that I teach. Lynn Galeazza, MSW, RSW Social worker/psychotherapist
